All people should have their categories 'ai generated images' changed to 'ai generated media'

[edit]

I liked your category rename. I think it should be added for all people who have categories of their AI media (Trump, Putin, Taylor Swift, etc.) PublicDomainFan08 (talk) 06:55, 16 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain this edit?

https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:%27Voicing_Rock%27_panel_-_Pop_Conference_2016_-_02.jpg&diff=prev&oldid=1015265396 : it seems to me that what you removed here is an appropriate way to indicate that the image depicts a person who lacks a Wikidata item, but was a named participant in a panel. Do you have some other way you would want this done? - Jmabel ! talk 01:00, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

ai art comic

[edit]

It looks like you applied SDC to File:Letter column from Jumbo Comics 99.jpg indicating that file was AI? Its not of course. Can I fix it? Jerimee (talk) 01:18, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

oops nevermind I see what happened; I'll fix it - sorry Jerimee (talk) 01:21, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do not start an edit war

Before you set a property Revision of 1010835660 you have a look to the already set properties. photograph (Q125191) is not necessary if a better one is already set: analog photograph (Q91899537). --XRay 💬 05:52, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your "better" items are both creating constraint errors Trade (talk) 13:21, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because the qualifier. But this isn't wrong, the constraint should be fixed. --XRay 💬 14:32, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Accident?

[edit]

I suspect that the properties were accidentally removed and set again: Revision of 1010757648 and others. --XRay 💬 14:40, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Logos of record labels in unidentified countries

[edit]

Hi. I'm in the middle of organizing logos for record labels and I don't think the category will be necessary once the main category has been mostly emptied. There isn't really a difference between the main categories and all these "logos of whatever in unidentified countries" ones. Especially since they aren't from unidentified countries in most cases anyway. But regardless, their pointless at best and needlessly over complicate things at things worst. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't recreate the category. It's just extra cruft that makes it harder to organize the logos. Thanks. Adamant1 (talk) 19:24, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I use the category for labels whose country i have not been able to identify despite trying. You are free to organize the logos alone if you want Trade (talk) 19:27, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just put it in the main category in that case and someone else can figure it out. I don't have a problem doing it. It should be a given that the country of origin for the image hasn't been identified if it's in the top level category though. --Adamant1 (talk) 20:18, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The "just throw it in the main cat" attitude is the whole reason why none of the country subcats ever gets used. The unidentified country category shows people that this is not supposed to be the norm Trade (talk) 20:38, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I chalk that up to the endless badgering and tantrum throwing anytime someone tries to do something on here myself. There's a general lack of users to organize things on here because everyone's been blocked or ran off at this point. I don't even disagree though. I wouldn't have a problem with the category or similar ones if I wasn't in the process of going through them but there's tools like User:Waggers/degrandparent that don't work if the files are already in a subcategory. There's a lot of overcategorization with logos that can't be dealt with because their dumped in a category for "unidentified logos" when they aren't actually unidentified and/or are already in other subcategories. Otherwise I probably wouldn't care. --Adamant1 (talk) 21:26, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
