Kerry Staurseth

Kerry Staurseth works hard to save writers from the tyranny of the typo. She copy edits and manages the Ars newsdesk as the associate copy editor. She has served in that role part time and full time since 2008. Kerry came to the editing world 20 years ago after careers in secondary education, higher education, and development. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Park University in Chicago and a teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin. She and her husband reside in Chicago, but they are often found exploring the far reaches of the US in their travel van with their dog—50,000 miles in two years and counting.
